About Kyle Eschbach

Kyle had it all. He was the captain of his school’s soccer team, he was one of the best students in his school, he was first cello in the orchestra, and he had loads of friends. He couldn’t imagine anything in his life ever going wrong. That is, until he gets a horrible head injury in soccer, his head smashing against a post after being shoved by an opposing player. He wasn’t out for long, maybe a day, but when he woke up, he couldn’t speak. No matter how hard he tried, the words just wouldn’t come out; he knew the words, just not how to use them. After his accident, he broke away from his usual clique, eventually dropping out of school all together. It was hard to be in high school and be unable to speak. He had to write everything that he wanted to say. It was hard on him, not being able to express his feelings through words. On his suggestion, Kyle was sent to Hillcrest to help him to learn how to speak again.

When Kyle learns to speak again, his voice will be in italics.
